ASPIRE Fellowship
ASPIRE supports young Australian researchers’ stay in Japan, working with colleagues at Sci.Tokyo, U Tokyo, KAGRA/ICRR, NAOJ, etc. For a short stay, we provide airfare and travel expense of ca 280 AUD per day. For a longer stay, we provide airfare and travel expense of ca 8,000 AUD per month or a little less if you use an on-campus accommodation.
Condition to apply to the ASPIRE fellowship
- The researcher must currently belong to an institute in Australia
- The researcher must have at least 6 months of experience in GW science
- The researcher must know which research subject he/she/they likes to do in Japan

Travel support to visit Australia
ASPIRE can support your travel from Japan to Australia. The standard travel expense to visit Australia is 14,100 JPY for accommodation and 4,000 JPY for per diem. If the average accommodation fee exceeds the standard, the accommodation fee can be reimbursed based on actual expenses.
